About Cultivated Biosciences

We're building a world in which animal-free dairy is the better choice for everyone.

​Our mission is to empower plant-based dairy to give it the creaminess and mouthfeel consumers strive for.

To do this we are developing creamy functional ingredients from non-GMO yeast to be sold as B2B ingredients. We have just raised our seed round and are transitioning from the lab to the market.

Your mission

As Fermentation Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the effort to develop processes to make our yeast fat and delicious. You will work with our senior fermentation scientist, junior fermentation scientists and our downstream engineers to improve the yield and ensure the yeast has properties for a desirable final product. 

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor or Masters in Fermentation Science, Biotechnology, or equivalent

  • Initial experience with microbial screening methods

  • Initial experience with benchtop bioreactors

  • A proactive attitude

  • Willingness to learn quickly new things
