About Cultivated Biosciences

We're building a world in which animal-free dairy is the better choice for everyone.

​Our mission is to empower plant-based dairy to give it the creaminess and mouthfeel consumers strive for.

To do this we are developing creamy functional ingredients from non-GMO yeast to be sold as B2B ingredients. We have just raised our seed round and are transitioning from the lab to the market.

Your mission

Our team is based in Switzerland. But we will bring our groundbreaking ingredient to the US market first in 2025.

We seek a Business Development Manager with a strong entrepreneurial mindset to support us in bringing the US market entry plans to life. This position will report to Lucie Rein, our Chief Commercial Officer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build a solid sales funnel in the US with food service or CPG

  • Play a key role in getting our yeast cream into distribution channels

  • Coordinate product trials with customers from sample delivery to feedback for our product dev team

  • Increase awareness for our product through events, conferences, media, social media.

  • Organise our product launch with selected partners to build traction

  • Prepare the scale-up of the commercial operations post launch

What you need to succeed

  • Passion for food, sustainability and entrepreneurship

  • Proactive, networker, sales character to connect with all stakeholders from chefs to event organisers

  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time for conferences, visits, activations.

  • whether junior or senior, we are looking for a gem to join our mission and will craft the role accordingly!

You are a great candidate for this position if you:

  • Are not afraid of exploring undefined territories

  • Are tenacious and keep looking for new ways to convince stakeholders

  • Can deal with both very practical tasks to make things happen, and reflecting on longer term strategy to grow our business sustainably

  • Are happy to work independently, far from the team in Switzerland

  • Already have a network and experience in the food & food service industry

  • Are ready to grow with us
